PLAYA – BULLETIN BOARD:

1. ** I appreciate the honest restaurant reviews of your new restaurant reviewer Alice Revel. —- Toby B., Culver City

2. ** You, whomever you were, in the white Maserati Levante in front of me in line at In ‘n Out by LAX who paid for my dinner tonight: Thank you for your random act of kindness. It’s been a while since I was on the receiving end of such a gesture, and it brought me to tears. I will never forget you and plan to pay it forward tomorrow. You are awesome. —- Cynthia Morris, Culver City

3. ** The crisis of democracy is a media crisis. And the mainstream press is losing. Thank God. —- Ali L., Playa del Rey

4. ** Shell Service Station now hiring experienced (minimum 5 years) attendants, cashiers, auto mechanics, and technicians! Call 310-823-2330. Marina Shell 4770 Lincoln Boulevard, Marina del Rey, CA 90292

5. ** My solid memory of L.M.U. was that often the professors’ patience were wearing thin, but the querulous students nevertheless continued to whine about how much work they were assigned. —- Carla H., Playa Vista

6. ** Crime in Playa Vista: https://nextdoor.com/p/z7X8q-85T6hj?utm_source=share&extras=MjAwMDMwMDQ%3D

7. ** Eric Garcetti will go down in history as the worst Mayor ever since the formation of Los Angeles. —- Dr. C. Thomas J., Marina del Rey

8. ** I shopped at the Macy’s in the Westfield Culver City (Fox Hills Mall). First, let me state how the overall setup is disturbing and a letdown in our community. There seems to be no set display of merchandise like at the Manhattan Beach or Del Amo malls. All the clothes look like it was on the clearance rack. —- Marietta Carey, Culver City

9. ** On holidays, it’s natural to feel a longing for times gone by – a childhood spent singing carols or meals spent with now departed loved ones. Recently scientists have explored the bittersweet feeling of nostalgia, finding that it serves a positive function, improving mood and possibly mental health. My delightful memories of the area include no homelessness and far less crime and filth. —- Dr. Florence P., Culver City

10. ** Act of kindness: Thank you Jimmy! I was at the Culver City TJ Maxx on Jefferson tonight (Thursday 12/23) buying a dog bed for my pup for Christmas. I walk outside and it’s POURING. I don’t even own an umbrella lol. As I’m watching the cars pass waiting for my chance to sprint to my car, a gentleman walks up to me holding an umbrella, points to the dog bed I’m holding, and says, “that’s going to get soaked. Let me walk you to your car” and holds out his umbrella to cover me and the dog bed. —- Steph Lew, Del Rey

11. ** Restless, shifting, fugacious as time itself is a certain vast bulk of the population of Playa Vista. Awesome, unique community. —- Darren H., Playa Vista

12. ** The ugly chipped paint at the Runway Shopping Center in Playa Vista looks awful! —- Nancy Q., Playa Vista

13. ** SWEDISH BODYWORK: A nice, mature woman offers rejuvenating massage to help clients with relaxation. Contact (310) 458-6798

14. ** 2021 QUICKBOOKS: Install, Set-Up & Train. Payroll & Sales Tax Returns. Bank Recs. Also avail for Temp work. Year End Report. W 2’s & 1099’s. Call (310) 553-5667
