Underwater Sewage Pipeline – Done?

This underwater pipeline project has gone way past the extension date. Workers aren’t there anymore. The machinery is gone. Does anyone have any idea when the city plans on cleaning up the mess left behind by pipeline work? This photo is by PDR’s crumbling bridge and there is another fenced-off area by Playa Provisions.

*PLAYA – COMMENTARY by Rene Carrion, Playa del Rey:

Man snooping around homes. On Friday mid-morning, last week my wife was pulling out of our driveway when she noticed a man on the next-door neighbor property (neighbor was not home, their driveway was empty). When he saw she was looking his way the man quickly walked to his bicycle on the sidewalk and drove off. Something did not seem “right” about this, she drove down the block then drove around the block. Sure enough, when she came back, he had doubled back and was now on the neighbor’s property across the street from us. When he saw her car coming back, he quickly got on his bike and drove away. We spoke to both neighbors later and both confirmed they were not expecting anyone. Man was 50-60’ish with gray hair. This happened on Greene Ave west of Centinela.

*PLAYA – COMMENTARY by Jennifer Ashley, Playa del Rey:

Random Attack & They have a Car. My sister went outside to walk her dog and then noticed one of our dogs was barking. At the same time, this African American lady started to charge her and she persisted to tell her to STOP STOP but she didn’t stop so she ran into ongoing traffic and found a neighbor across the street. Then the lady persisted to chase them both and throw her urine on them. The cops were called and unfortunately, they know their situation very well and said the lady is homeless and has mental health issues. She drove away in this car below but thought I would share this here in case anyone sees this car and license plate. She was unprovoked and I wish there was more the cops could do. Very, very scary. Mike Bonin Successful Program. There is a lot of chatter about City councilman Mike Bonin today and most of it is negative. People are upset and are constantly pointing to his failures. I wanted to take a different approach and point out one of Mike’s most successful programs to date. Recently he revealed the home addresses of the people leading the recall campaign against him on social media and it was a success. Very quickly one of the leaders had a brick thrown through her window. So for all of you naysayers who are constantly talking about Mike Bonin’s unsuccessful plans, here is one he implemented that worked. https://ktla.com/news/local-news/lapd-responds-to-vandalism-report-at-home-of-activist-leading-effort-to-recall-l-a-councilman-mike-bonin/

3. *** I love Mo’s Place in Playa Del Rey. The people are always fun. Good times! —- Kimberly K., Playa del Rey

4. *** Three Street Promenade in Santa Monica is a disgrace filled with filth, crime, homeless decay and that’s the best that can be said. It’s a symbol of the horrible decline of Santa Monica which was a once-great city ruined by a radical political team of leaders that should be ashamed of themselves. —- Dennis and Helen H., Marina del Rey

5. *** If you want to taste some truly awful chocolate chip cookies, may I suggest you purchase one at Nice Cream in PlayaVista. Awful. —- Zoey B., Playa Vista

6. *** Coyote sightings. Saw these little guys on my morning walk today! I was pretty surprised to see how relaxed they were, just cruising around at 8 am like they own the hood!  —- Jenny Milnes, Westchester

7. *** There’s real power in saying ‘I need help telling this story.’ —- www.PRPrime.net

8. *** Possible burglar looking for open apts. A young kid (16-20) knocking on random apt doors at The Metro. 5625 South Crescent Park West, Playa Vista, CA —- David De Nino, Playa Vista

9. *** Driving Reckless. My daughter was jogging yesterday around 12:30 PM and a person in a white car almost hit her. He yelled inflammatory words that she shouldn’t be jogging in the street. My first reaction was to confront the man. However, this post will let my neighbors know that this man uses his car to intimidate people instead of using positive words, which is always more constructive. He lives on Isis. I won’t list his license plate or home address as I’m still considering filing a police report. —- John Smith, Westchester

10. *** Understanding the actions people take after interacting with an ad is an enormous challenge because there can be gaps in the information available to marketers. Customers may shop across different browsers and devices, or research products online and then buy offline. Surveys prove press releases are much more believable than ads —- www.PRPrime.net

 11. *** “People who sleepwalk are technically following their dreams.”  —- Ashely P., Culver City

12. *** “Nobody looks average in a cowboy hat. Either you look very cool or like an idiot.” —- Dylan M., Marina del Rey
